Bryce Canyon and Zions Family Trip
This was a great vacation! We had a ton of fun, along with a few bumps along the way. We got to Bryce and didn't anticipate the 3-4 ft. snow drifts all over. We were hoping for great weather and didn't bring the right clothing. Thank heavens I had everyone bring at least jackets:) Needless to say, this was the cold part of the trip. We did have fun watching the different ways Matthew made his head gear to keep warm. On this part of the trip, it was extra socks that he draped down from his hat to keep his ears warm. We at least stayed warm in the hotel pool and hot tub. That was fun!
We then went to Zion National park and the weather was considerably warmer! Now we got to watch Matthew produce headgear that was used as shade. For this experience, he was stealing clothing from off Kyle's back:) Thank goodness he wore two shirts this day. Or we would have been in real trouble. Anyway, look for the new Matthew Andreasen clothing line coming out......never we hope:) Love you Matthew:) We had fun teasing him about this.
We also accomplished hiking to the top of Angels Landing. OK, first I have to say that hiking this with kids is completely different than hiking it when it is just you. You gain a new care that you didn't know you had! It scared me to death, just because the whole time we were hiking, I was worried about which child was going to slip and fall. Needless to say, I told everyone that was hiking up and down that we were all insane and that our stupidity was going to get us all killed:) Ok, yes I was embarrassing but it was kind of fun to do:) We did make it to the top without anyone falling and then the wind blew so hard that I just knew we were all going to be blown off now that we were at the top. We didn't stay very long to enjoy the view, because I was going to have a panic attack, especially when Erin and Dallin were laying on their bellies looking over the edge. Sometimes it is just safer to stay on safe ground, (If you know what I mean).
